LOOM KNITTINGCLASSES
Introduction to loom knitting with Nicole Cox, author of Round Loom Knitting in 10 Easy Lessons
Learn the basics of loom knitting, casting on, binding off, the (4) knit stitches, purling, peg spacing and how it
effects gauge, how loom knitting differs from regular needle knitting, etc. Also see examples of mosaic, lace and
fair isle off the loom. Participants are to bring the loom of their choice (from the list below), knitting tool and yarn
for the project they would like to complete.

Pick one project
•        Slouchy Hat:  40 or 41 peg, 3/4" peg spacing loom, usually plastic. You will need 1 skein/170 yards worsted  
weight yarn. You will knit with 2 strands yarn, so cake or roll into two balls. A yarn/tapestry needle (preferrably
metal) will be needed to bind off this project.
•        Easy Wine bottle cozy/sweater:  24 peg, 3/4" peg spacing loom, usually plastic . 1 skein, chunky weight, 148
yds and a small amount of contrasting color yarn also #5 weight. (1) medium size crochet hook will be needed to bind
off this project.
•        Simple Stockinette/ribbed Cowl:  40 or 41 peg, 3/4" peg spacing loom, 2 skeins, worsted weight yarn. (1)
medium size crochet hook will be needed to bind off this project.
